Course Description

In this course, students will begin competing on ILearn’s competitive debate team. This will allow the data from real world competitions on Middle School, High School, and College Campuses to drive the instructional approach. Students will be reviewing judge’s ballots and considering how to reevaluate their approach to competitive debate. Judge adaptation becomes critical at this point as the success or failure of a debate career rests on a debater’s ability to tailor their speeches to differing types of judges. Advanced theory, “Ks,” and Framework lenses become essential for students to learn as they move through the competitive debate community.
